(Melbourne, Australia) – the global leading energy storage company, Jinko ESS today announced the deployment of an 860kWh energy storage system for San Carlo Homes for the Aged Facility in Victoria, in partnership with Melbourne-based Renewable Energy specialists Acacia Energy, with implementation being performed by Highline Group. The solution comprises four Sungiga 215kWh units from Jinko ESS’s distributed storage portfolio, combining critical power resilience for residents with participation in Australia’s Frequency Control Ancillary Services (FCAS) markets through Acacia Energy’s Optimised Energy Market Services (OEMS). The system has been delivered from warehouse stock on June 18, 2025, with commissioning scheduled for late July following electrical infrastructure upgrades.
Engineered for Victoria’s bushfire-prone climate, the Sungiga units feature liquid-cooled thermal management maintaining cell temperatures within ±2.5°C for higher RTE efficiency up to 94%. The SunGiga all-in-one energy storage system also has been independently verified to meet key Australian standards: AS3000, AS3008, AS5139, and AS4777.
“Healthcare facilities are under growing pressure to meet both economic and sustainability goals,” said Dan Su, Head of ANZ at Jinko ESS. “Our containerized energy storage systems, combined with VPP integration, turn energy assets into active revenue streams — helping aged care providers reduce costs while accelerating their transition to a low-carbon future.”
